So many times people ask where did they got the bed bugs from and we always explain that unfortunately, Hong Kong has a very high density population hence, it is very easy to get them from anywhere; hotels, a friend’s house, or even while travelling on the MTR…. (as shown on the following photos)
“In crowded public transport like the MTR, personal belongings are often in close contact with other passengers. As shown in these photos, bed bugs can hide on backpacks and luggage zippers, making it easy for them to spread in high-density environments.
If you look at the photo carefully, you can see clearly the back pack stripes are covered with bed bugs fecal matter (small black dots). That back pack has bed bugs on it, and it is possible for them to be transferred to another person. 🙁
